Hopefully below is a complete list of 8gen Legnum and Galant colour names and codes. Some of these are non VR4 colors. Perhaps I could split the list between non VR4 and VR4. I had a look at the plate on my firewall and it had written: Color Int Opt: W75 - and then on the right hand side "65J400"). The W75 is the code for the Galaxy White exterior color, however what is the 65J400? I have divided up into color groups. I guess its possible some of these colors are the same, just they gave them different names over the years. Im guessing P is for Pearl, M for Metallic, S for Solid. The 2-tone colors were on Super VR4's, but also possibly an option on lower lips of other PFL. The Pyrenean black (P) X08 Roanne red (P) P78 Trigger mauve (P) T08 Redma - red Dark blue mica Indigo blue (P) T07 My star blue (P) Winning turquoise (P) F06 The Alamo analog green (P) F76 Finest/Finesse green (P) G25 Satellite silver (M) A69 Hamilton silver (M) A71 Silver metallic (M) Sophia white (S) W09 White pearl (P) White solid (S) Galaxy white (P) W75 The Pyrenean black (P) / sir stone grey (P) 2 tone Hamilton silver (M) / sir stone grey (P) 2 tone Parma - red / sir stone grey (P) 2 tone
All the various paint codes and colours can be found at the following links: http://www.ppg.com/MaxMeyer/CarColourRange/files/dataccr/Mitsubishi/1997.PDF http://www.ppg.com/MaxMeyer/CarColourRange/files/dataccr/Mitsubishi/1999.PDF http://uk.geocities.com/ian_jenny@btinternet.com/paintcolours.htm
super vr4, ofcourse! didnt even consider that! Does that mean some super vr4s came out in black? I thought theyb were only silver or red. Thanks for the links but none of them worked (the inside part of the link has been chopped out).
I've only seen them in silver and red as well. Also note that the link you got that from lists those options as 1996 codes. I think they might be referring to the little bits of trim half way up the doors and whether they were coloured in the body colour or in dark grey.
i was about to say the same... super is 98 only, and only available in red of silver. CAPS also lists the body kit as BLACK, not grey... so perhaps there was a 2 tone option. apparently these are the colours the PFL VR4's came in The Pyrenean black (P) Sophia white Finest green (P) Trigger mauve (P) Hamilton silver (M) - A71 Redma - red My star blue (P) Winning turquoise (P) The Pyrenean black (P) / sir stone grey (P) 2 tone Hamilton silver (M) / sir stone grey (P) 2 tone Parma - red / sir stone grey (P) 2 tone my silver comes up at "A71G" in caps, and the touch up paint is listed as being for A71.
Both the PPG links still broken Carsten. Third one works ok though CAPS tells me my car is X08D, so Pyranean (Pyrenees) black. Have to wait 'til I see it to find out what the code on the plate says.
What IS interesting is there is no listing for X08 Pyrenees Black Pearl for the Galant in EITHER of those charts... Nor is there any listing for a white, either. Something tells me they don't tell the whole story Was Meister Blue a discontinued colour across their whole range after '97?
hey fellas.. how do we buy paint for our cars? do we give these codes to the paint shop attendant!? as some of you know i'll need to get the front bumper repainted to finesse green.. i know i sound like an idiot, but i've never really gotten anything repainted..
Yep Chris just make sure you have the paint code for your car (I think it's printed in the engine bay) and any paint shop can mix it for you
My colour code is W75D ,now i understand that the W75 is galaxy but mine is pearl, does the "D" represent pearl?
Mine is X08D also, but the 'D' isn't relevant for my paint code apparently - X08 is black with the metallic green fleck *shrugs*
