Where around Brisbane is a good place to get an automatic transmission strengthened?:

Can someone in QLD who has had it done recommend a place around brisbane to get an automatic transmission checked out and strengthened?
Preferably somewhere on the southside (or even better, bayside) but I am willing to travel a bit to take it somewhere that knows what they are doing.

I took my Galant to Gavin today. He is a helpful person and involves you in his work. He has my recommendation.

I second that. I take my Legnum to Gavin and he is always helpful.

Can anyone recommend somewhere on the coast or even Brisbane they have had a tune recently?

100k service, check and install new rear turbo, fitted new lca's and other suspension components.

Well it's that time already!!! 100k service..
Booked the car in at MEEK to do the Timing belt, Water pump, front main seal.
All other service items like engine oils, tranny etc have been done recently through Parra Mitso....

Supplying all the parts genuine Mitso through Amayama... even the hydraulic tensioner grenade pin thingy.
Was quoted $500-$600 labour which I think is reasonable for the work involved...
Hope they do a great job as I hate trying places I've never been before.... :\

I'm getting close. I'm at 97k. But major had been done at 70k. So just fluids for me.

I had Parra mitso do the full fluids for me early this year... AYC, tranny (Auto) transfer and diff only cost like $360 from memory...Cheap as...

I've had the same guru mitso mechanic look after my Evo since I bought it new and since he left them and moved up the central coast I'm keen to see what MEEK are all about... Plus side they are closer...
Bought all the parts through Amayama which helped with the total cost...

Just wondering... I've only got the front main crankshaft seal... Not bothering with the camshaft seals... anyone here ever had the cam seals start to leak??
I've never seen them leak before... cept' the time i did the T-Belt in my 93 GSR... i used a contact cleaner to wash all the oil residue and didn't know that the chemical attacked rubber... damn things leaked bad after that... so off with the belt again lol...

Was thinking of doing the belt myself but would need either the mitso tooling to hold the cams in position or... another 4 pairs of hands lol... plus a bucketload of motivation which I'm fresh out of.....

I think thats whats leaking on mine
