I live very close to there and Godzilla live somewhere around here too so you're not the only Legnum in the area. I'll consider them next time for basic work.

Thats great I thought I saw another black legnum a while ago but theres also a black stegia that drives around tweed alot and looks alot like a legum, except the giant hole in the front bar were their putting in a intercooler. Were would you normaly go for services and specific to this car work? I was planing to go to APC logan to get my 100k service and replace the AYC pump/control unit do you know any one closer that could help with the AYC pump?

Daniel! do you have a beard? I live in Murwillumbah and see a black legnum all the time. I used to have a white legnum but now Im in a silver galant, if it is you, I have tried getting your attention a few times but obviously you dont recognise a galant as being the same car with a smaller boot lol. But yeah, your not the only Legnum in the tweed, there is Trevor up near Terranora and I see a few others around the place occasionally.
In other news, my speedo and tacho needle came back to life today, out of the blue just started working again, awesome. Problems that fix themselves are the best sort of problems.

HAHA... Yep im the dick with the red beard lol, I saw you driving the gallant when I was leaving KFC today, this is great news Im freaking out thinking no one in this area knows anything about this car leaving me to toil in its fixing with what Info I can find about it. Now knowing theres more VR4 owners around here puts my mind to ease. A collective knowledge is so much better then the indifidual. I remeber seeing the white legnum some time ago and thought I spotted it leaving Murbah on the back of a tilt some months back what happened?

I take mine to Gavin Wood in Labrador / Arundel. I've only been there once in my Legnum but have also taken my skyline there years ago. He is a Skyline specialist but does lots of work on Evos and other cars. He has seen a couple of Legnums too.

Definately not the only legnum in tweed there is a few floating around. I'm in tweed and I take mine to Gavin wood at arundel as well he has been really good and pretty sure he has worked on a couple of legnums from this forum.

Excellent I'll pop in to his workshop and run the work I need done by him, stupid question but been a skyline specialist he would have a AWD dyno for GTRs then also?

No he doesn't have a dyno unfortunately. He has recommended a place around the corner called Hi Torque performance.

Thats a bit of a pitty, but good news non the less. I might not need to go up to APC logan for the work. Also when upgrading parts ( intercoolers, piping, ECU flush ect ) would Gavin be able to help there also?

Hey Daniel, let me know what you need to do. I am always happy to help and get my hands dirty! Might save you a bit too over having to go to mechanics for basic stuff.

And the Black Legnum you see around the Tweed area would be mine.

Gavin wood will do anything you want done to a legnum, he did a manual conversion on mine so you can imagine he knows them inside and out after that 3 week job. Intercooler and piping are easy if you get the right parts to bolt in, I would be happy to help. As for ecu flash you will need to wait for Steve's next visit, but you can find more info about that in the QLD tune day thread.

I have another good alternative for the SEQ crew.

I've just had my Legnum in at AM Auto Services up at Noosaville for it's 100,000km service, clutch, engine mounts, hydraulic lifters & exhaust fabrication.
Couldn't be happier with the job Al has done. Knows his stuff, labour rate is very reasonable and does some top notch fabrication. He's a regular over on performanceforums.com (where I've been posting for a loooong time) and has a very good rep over there. Was well worth the drive up from Bris.

can anyone suggest were to go for performance mods anywhere in melbourne that wont shy away from the car because there is not enough space or its too hard to work on or nobody has modified one before

When I was in Melbourne I used to take my car to Techsport in Bayswater, they work on Legnums and Galants regularly. Chasers have a workshop in west Melbourne and one in the eastern suburbs - they focus on imports. I know the west melb workshop does work on Legnums (probably both branches do).

Best place to get car serviced and brakes done on the gold coast

Hey all, I need a bit of work done I have to do my 100k service and the engine ticks really really bad, also need my brakes done, and maybe service my transmission. I usually get my car serviced at titan automotive Oxenford but I don't trust them on a bigger job. looking at getting this sorted next week as im on holidays. cheers!!

I took my Galant to Gavin today. He is a helpful person and involves you in his work. He has my recommendation.
