I had my 100k done at Gavin Wood. He's out near Harbour Town. I'll probably be getting him to do my clutch (I hope).

Otherwise, I've had stuff done at Mudgeeraba Automotive Services. Things like oil changes, shocks, driveshafts/CV joints, hubs/bearings etc. Good old guys who know their stuff

Gavin has done manual conversions for VR4s, he has done many 100k services so he knows his way around these cars. He's actually a specialist with Nissan Skylines but works on a lot of Japanese imports. Around the Gold Coast I wouldn't take it to anyone else but I can think of a few other workshops around Australia that will have more experience with VR4's and Evo models than him.

He has a mut tool but he charged me a set fee for use (same for Matt on this forum). He will be familiar with the correct AYC flush method.

Hahah! That's because they've been getting both of my Legnums in for the past 2 years
They are very honest guys, though they hate the legnum now after having to rebuild mine Hahah.

How much was the timing belt from Gavin? I may get mine done soon as well as evoscan my problems as dash lights don't work to do a self scan.

I got my parts from Bill @ Ralliart NZ, I'll put my whole 100k pdf up. I haven't scanned invoices of stuff I've had done elsewhere, but I probably should.

hi guys,

i cant find it, but i thought there was a service schedule thread. mine is hitting up around 130,000km now and looking to do the recommended service (already done the 100,000km full service (water pump, belts etc) at around 90,000km)

can someone point me in the right direction on what needs doing at around 130,000km. im considering getting quotes from workshops once i know what work is needed just to drop it off for a week to get everything done and dusted before it gets some new paint + wheels

I have had my old broken diff replaced by Nick Ashwin of N. A. Auto Sports and engineering Slacks Creek Qld I am very impressed by the knowledge and skill they showed. It is a very good business. Because of some mistakes made by past mechanics who worked on my cars, I get a bit edgie when i give my baby to some to fix, but I will certainly go back there without hesitation for a new exhaust, timing belt change and a tune and then my Galant will be fully restored and ready to show.

Have they had much experience tuning vr4's if not I would recommend seeing Steve when he does one of his interstate trips. Actually I would see Steve anyway

Why did u take it to them, I gather they're close to your location or were u recommended?

I highly recommend NA Autosport & Engineering Formerly Neil Lowe Motorsports.
We have used them since 2007 when we first bought our Leggie.
Yes they may be a bit on the expensive side but Nick is very experienced and well known and respected.

Meek Automotive in Sydney.
I was just amazed by their in depth knowledge of cars and even better their rates are very reasonable too! Had clutch replaced and a few other small jobs.
