Stupid question. Can I adjust myself? Or will it need to be done with aid of a wheel alignment machine?

You sure it's toe in? The camber fix will push it to toe out, you may end up at a point where you can't getenough toe even with the adjustment maxed out. Remember negative is toe out....

rear toe is a constant battle for me. before i go modding my oem ones, im still researching this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rear-Adjust...Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item3f15650fd7

might need to suss out christians ones for measurements. beauty of these are the outer tie rod and inner rose joint, versus christians double rose joints. they're camber arms for an eclipse, but the body mount is vertical on the eclipse. the arms however look to be the same length so it might work on our vr4's too

for reference, eclipse oem arm vs ingalls camber arm

Not sure, he just said it was out that far.

Thanks for the link. I'll have a go at that, is our cars track same back and front?

Had a look last night and it looks like toe in. I can physically see it.

Hi guys I need to replace my tyres again.I keep getting wear on the inside front tyres.I'm running 225/45/R17 stock suspension and ride height.I live in a small town and the tyre places don't know our cars. I don't track it and just want an everyday setup with even wear. If someone could recommend some alignment settings it would be appreciated. Alternatively I'm willing to drive to Newcastle if someone knows a workshop with vr4 exp.
Cheers guys

What brand of tyre have you run previously and why not a 235 ?

Had terrible wear with some continental 225s, the wider bridgestone i changed to have been much better for our roads.

Hey guys,

I will be getting the wheels and tyres fitting in the coming days and I am looking to find out if there is anything that I will need to know and/or convey to the person doing the work??

Or, for them, would it be like dealing with every other vehicle?

Thanks guys,

REI600

Our suspension setup is a std multilink setup. Similar to a Mazda6 MPS. Rear is identical to a Magna rear.

There is some factory specs which you can use in this thread http://www.ozvr4.com/threads/wheel-alignment.8587/... but I found when I was on stock suspension, they weren't great.

My mate (who works at a tyre store) always sets it to his gut feeling/experience, rather than the specs. Drove much nicer.

While they've got the car up on hoist, get them to try checking for play and split boots in the lower control arm ball joints.

Oh ok. I know there is a split front boot, LH Inner I think... i'll be replacing that soon. I'll get them to check for the rears as well. Good idea mate. Didn't think of that.
As for standard shocks.. She is sitting on Tiens so... Might not be the most useful BUT, I'll take a look and maybe take them in to the guys when to fit them up and align it all.

Thanks BCX.

Try getting them to pry the front control arm balljoints for play. Depends how friendly you are with where your getting the alignment really.

I usually get underneath to check for everything like cracked bushes, rust, oil leaks, exhaust leaks, etc as it's easier to see when it's on a hoist rather than jackstands.

But check control arms often is what I'm saying, or your going to have a bad day. :p

Ive got ISC coilovers, usually run around 1mm toe on front. Rear camber has been fixed with spacers (approx 1.2deg). No idea what rear toe I run, again my mate just does gut feeling. Hope this helps?
