Sorry to bring up an old thread guys, but I have got my hands on a set of Evo X front calipers, was wondering if anyone had tried fitting them to their Legnum/Galant? they use a 350mm rotor over the 5-9 324mm so im guessing id have to use that rotor, but not to sure...

Maybe brad knows the answer????

yup you need a 350mm rotor.

whether it bolts straight on is another issue. how does it mount to the hub? radial bracket or two 'legs' onto the hub?

Looking at the caliper it is exactly the same as the 9 one, I don't have a 9 one to measure the mounting points to compare tho. Has anyone got one that isn't on the car yet that they can measure for me?

u will also need to be using 18" rims to clear the rotors and massive calipers.

They are the same design as an EVO 5-9, just have longer legs to space the caliper out further. The pistons are slightly smaller too at the front to keep the front to rear balance intact.

You will of course need EVO X brake discs and wheels that will fit over EVO X calipers.

So idealy I need to find some Evo X rears as well, but earlier ones will still work. hmmm see what I can dig up around work :)

Alright, I scored a set of brembos and have read this thread from page 1 to 18, I just want to clarify some things and ask some seemingly stupid questions.

List of things we need for conversions:

New bolts:
Front: M12 x 30mm in 1.75 pitch
Rear: M10 x 20mm in 1.5 pitch

New Evo 6 - 9 rotors
Braided brake lines
Evo brake pads to suit brembos

Am I missing anything?

Also as far as pads and rotors go, whats good? I know there have been a few people with squealing problems what seems to be the best pads to avoid this? The car will be doing mostly spirited road driving with the occasional track day or drag day.

How are these options for rotors:

and these

Also has anyone used these:

He said he can make them no dramas I just need to know the dimensions and they are ADR approved. Can someone help me out with the lengths of the hoses and which fittings are where?

Thanks in advance guys.

So I also heard the the Elig pads are the shiz and you seem to avoid the squealing noises.

Just on the rotors, Ive heard before that cross drilled rotors are far more likely to warp and crack compared to just slotted rotors, true?

If the "cross drills" are formed as part of the disc during casting, it is less likely to crack than those drilled in to the disc post casting.

Just go slotted.

heard back from the guy from TriNet, I quote

Shipment to Australia would cost $540USD plus the cost of the rotors. We don’t ship internationally due to the price of shipping.

I think I'll probably go for the EBC rotors, at around $1k for all four and shipping to me that sounds like a fair deal doesn't it? Anyone had any experience with the EBC ones?

To update an old thread, Paul's dad no longer works at Hawkesbury hydraulics. I want a set of braided brake lines for the brembos but the fellas there don't know what's involved. Can someone point me in the direction of where Paul's dad now works? Or somewhere else who knows what we need?

I left a link and some information in the last thread you asked about Brembo lines:

http://ozvr4.com/forums/showthread.php?11753-brembo-brake-lines

There is info there that I put down for the exact lengths and fittings needed :)

There is a brand called Hel and they will make any lines you want and whatever colour you want. They are ADR, TUV and DOT approved and have a lifetime warranty.

Here is a link to a Hel retailer, maybe he can do them for you.

Only fits larger diameter discs, not the 320mm evos so you would probably want the full kit.
