+1 more keen on the RS6 love the look of them.

I think a rally driver did a twin turbo H6 and put it in a WRX years ago in NZ but the motor failed before they got to race.

I always saw the Liberty as a heavy car.. They just look heavy! Hell, I had one and I didn't realise it was slightly lighter than the VR4!

Fairly light really. I think it's the paper-thin panels.

Well to get one over here roughly looks like this.
A $4000 US vr4 will end up being $8500 US. Thats shipped registered and complied. Would need to add about $500 for dealer fees if not going through a mate.
The last 3 or so RS6 on auction in japan were low km cars so approx the $25,000US-$30000 plus so will set you back here about $33,000-$35000US delivered and registered. Thats for a approx 40K on the clock car.
There was one is saw almost a year back that had 118K on the clock and sold for $20,000US.That would be nice as that would make the car here around $27-28K delivered and no chance you could get one in OZ for less then $70,000 aus even through a repo insurance job.

To give you an example recently Merc E55 amg wagon with 100K on the clock sold for about $11,000US but around 60K on the clock sell for around $15,000US.
Big difference.
The E55T wagon is not bad for around $17,000 on the road here for a 2002-2003 model.
The other thing that in Japan the big engine cars that are 10 years old are getting real cheap especially if they are AMG or Rs spec as that also makes them left hand drive and a High KM german left hand drive car that drinks fuel is about as least popular in japan as you can get.

I like the look of the new Passat, but the old one had a cooler engine W8 4.0, hell yeah!
