Are these parts the same as a Magna or Evo (Or something)..? And are they readily available from your local parts supplier or will you need to order them in...?

no idea... these are the VR4 specific part numbers,
dunno if they match anything else...

mitsi parts you order from you local mitsi dealer, and just ask for those part numbers.

and the clucth from who ever stocks exedy, just quote them that number and they'll either have it or order one for you.

The clutch is the same part number as the magna clutch.

I used to use the Heavy Duty Cushion Button clutch...it was awesome...well worth the money. I'll be using that again for sure. Part number is MBK-7223HDCB And yes you can it from any brake/clutch store. Should be able to get it from any exedy stockist...which I think auto one/autobarn/auto pro/bursons are all stockists.

Aren't the Exedy clutches meant to be fairly touchy? I've heard of a few people who have had problems and blown them up in performance cars... Anyone know anything about any problems with them?

I have heard of problems with eXtreme clutches but not Exedy clutches. Two clutch specialists I know of don't stock eXtreme clutches any more and highly recommend Exedy units ;)

Rear Left Door Handle Black ......MR774430........$132.85+tax
Tow Hook Cover Black ..............MR465892

Upper Radiator Hose ................MR212528
Lower Radiator Hose ................MR212529

Alternator Belt .........................MD184973........$36.91 +tax

Had an exedy in my S14 making 247@ whls, no problems other than TRACTION!

Also put one in the Foz, that was putting down 200@ all 4, never had a problem!

Hmm, might be worth trying another dealer with a bigger spare parts unit as it sounds like crap to me. All mitsy parts should be available as they are one massive company that distributes components globally. Its not like they have to fly to Japan and pick the bits themselves is it?!

There's an aftermarket lamp replacement specialist near me that deals mostly in parts for Japanese cars. I've bought head and tail lamps from them for the Magna and they look as good if not better (the aftermarket indicator I got from them fits better than the genuine one) and less than half the price.

Given how much better a car can look with new lamps (Supras are a great example - with new lights they look great, but with faded glass they look AWFUL!) I'm definitely keen to find out how much I can get some for. I was thinking of seeing if this place could get lamp housings for Legnums and Galants, but think I might need the Mitsi part numbers to give them something to go on if they don't. Can you help me out with these Carsten?

Well I ended up getting in contact with the Mitsubishi Parts distributor for Western Australia. Their rep Andy is a very helpful fellow, and he did some running around for me yesterday and got back to me today with the following: (I've recalculated the figures so all pricing includes GST - you have to pay it anyway, so why make life more difficult?)

Rear Right Door Handle Black .....MR774421........$138.60
Rear Left Door Handle Black ......MR774430........$138.60
Tow Hook Cover Black .............MR465892........$51.81

Upper Radiator Hose ................MR212528.........$23.76
Lower Radiator Hose ................MR212529.........$28.60

Alternator Belt .........................MD184973........$38.50
Power Steering Belt ..................MD317142........$80.98
Timing Belt .............................MD318814.........$242.00

Parts will take approximately three weeks to arrive from date of order.

This should give you guys in the East a pretty good idea also, as the pricing for you should be exactly the same...

EDIT: It turns out that the people I talked to before were actually just the parts department of one of the dealerships... and they are frequently tossers when it comes to dealing with parts for imports, apparently, 'cause its all just too hard and they want to discourage imports ('cause you didn't buy your car from Mitsubishi Australia )
