typical chinese ballasts - no name ones.. but so far i have't had any calls or message about it saying that its crapped itself..

and my warranty on it is, 6 months no fuss warranty.. :p

I had some flickering with the previous ballasts Christian was using, and a problem with the bulbs too. But Christian was true to his word and send me replacements without any hassle, so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to get these projectors. They are totally awesome too, I jumped in my other car that has standard halogens after driving the Legnum one night and the lights in that seemed like they weren't working in comparison to the HIDs. The projectors really put out a nice pattern too.

And (hopefully) finally, is it easy to remove the actual HID bulb? In the photos it looks as if it's inside the projector shroud and rather hard to remove?
I mean I've got a HID(reflector) kit in the Laser and it's just like fitting a standard globe.

Its easy as removing your normal bulbs, but since its alot mofre tighter, you dont have alot of room for mistakes

Like wiggling the bulb too much and end up snapping it while in the projector housing..

Also since The back of the headlamp assembly doesnt really give us much room, you need that extra length long nose pliers..

I've been through 2 sets of cheap Ebay skinny ballasts already. Next time they go I will be getting a decent set.
Same I've been through 4 it's annoying, if I hadn't done the headlight conversion myself I would defo get you to do it Christian, very good workmanship..

Maby I should hit you up for some ballasts

The set Christian made for me has single projector but with the high beam option. So i have a little solenoid that moves the cut-off door to give full projector illumination, plus my normal high beams come on like normal.
I don't have any decent pics but the single angel eye is just porn. Plus it looks factory:D

Hope this pic works

Hey Christian,

What type of angel eyes are included in this kit? CCFL? Is it possible to use other types like http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=14906 or something similar from ebay? Also is it possible for you to make them with a pair of projectors (for low beam+solenoid/harness for high beam) but with quad angel eyes in stead of two angel eyes? if so how much?

cheers

Thai, I use CCFL simply because they work or they dont..

unlike the LED ones.. they tend to die 1 by 1.. imagine you have 105 pieces of led's there.. you see 1 go off, you get annoyed by it.. unlike the CCFL, if and when it goes off.. you can just turn the other one off too.. so it doesn't look uninteresting..

you do have very good point! :)

Can you make them with a pair of projectors (for low beam+solenoid/harness for high beam) but with quad angel eyes in stead of two angel eyes (not sure if its possible)? if so how much?

Also how long is the current wait?

to those waiting, my apologies..

it's a little hard to get things moving when you have a full time job, on going health issue and not enough spare lights

so at the moment members listed below are on queue

1. Jomz (80% ready
2. Chillie
3. Dwarfmarine
4.

I should have more sets available by mid August..

also at MLVR4.. say mid-late August you can have yours.. and no, I have not looked into doing quad angel eyes on normal reflector.. will try and attend in doing it soon..

I was going to post a picture of what the Morimoto xB LED Angel Eyes look like in graphite shrouds. Unfortunately they are too bright for my phone camera :p

Not a big fan of Angel Eyes to be honest, got them because our WOF rules are that you need to have forward position lights which are easily visible something like 200M away. The faint glow of my standard park bulbs stuck behind the projector shroud were not sufficient :(

Went with quad projectors in the end (started with twins) for two reasons. First is because I moved to a rural area which has a high crash rate, lots of fog and I am driving more in darkness (especially during winter). Second is because having the reflectors black makes the car less reflective to police laser ;) just need to do something to my number plate and it shouldn't be quite so easy to get a speed lock.

Well, a third reason is that I just prefer the look of not having any reflective surfaces inside the headlight.

Thanks Christian for you help in sourcing the parts and what not, would have definitely bought off you if I lived in Oz.
