As before - Tokyo Motorsports (Welshpool)

General service always done by Japanese Performance Centre (Osborne Park) - Rob the mechanic is very good and Danny is always fun to shoot the shit with.

Madhav/Tomtom,

I noticed in the Automatic transmission Thread, that you took your cars to the same workshop for work.
I am looking to have a service done on my trans can you recommend this workshop to me?

Cheers,

Matt

I wouldn't recommend going to that place. It took him 1 year to partly complete a job for me. 1 year!! If you are looking to do a transmission service seriously go somewhere else. I don't even bother with 'performance' workshops these days except for tuning. Any old mechanic with Mitsubishi verada knowledge should be able to do it. I paid my one $50 an hour to do a major service for my supra.

Can anyone recommend Embelton vs All-star Garage vs Tokyo for install work say I had...
- new cooler
- COP
- FPR , gauge & filter.
- 3-port solenoid

Time permitting would attempt myself but just isn't going to happen soon...
Then say we throw turbos , injectors & dumps into the equation aswell for a subsequent visit...

Ideally as you can probably tell wanting a place I can go back to with confidence since my previous mechanic is no longer in the game.
SOR preferred but not essential, willing to travel to get the jobs done right.

ASG has a great name, only tried them once but my Legnum didn't like their dyno :(

I'd have to go with Tokyo Motorsports, they have been good with both my Legnum and my Cosmo and have lots of friends who use them and swear by them (Evo's and one particularly crazr R33 GT-R).

But I'm a JPC fanboy at heart and the mechanic Rob is excellent with the VR-4, so after saying all of that Japanese Performance Centre probably - haha!

Thought it might be a good idea to post up this list (stolen from somewhere else) of workshops in and around Perth. Please feel free to add or comment.

Guys any update on good workshops for the leggy? I just need a simple service. Called ASG and they said they dont work on legnums! I said but dont you specialise in Evos? Guy said yes and that was it. He even recommended RPW.

Any ideas preferably NOR? thanks

Had some work done at Tokyo, little on the exxy side but high quality work, will be going back for sure, probably for similar work you're looking at too, turbos tune etc.
