Thought i should add that the boot doubles as an excellant change table and is easy to get a pram in and out. I have three boys aged 11,9 and 9 months and the vr4 is awesome. The older boys never complained about room even on a 5000km trip to geelong and back. My vr4 is stock but often is my wifes choice over the i30.

Abi has pretty much grown up in Larry... she's now 4. We've got #2 due in August and I've done a test fit with a MaxiRider AHR and Meridian AHR (rear facing for baby) and they fit just fine. Betty on the other hand... that's another story 
When my kid was 1or 2 he would scream for dear life if I floored it to pass a car. Not that I was speeding he just was afraid of the engine sound. Loud rumbles.... But once I cruise he would fall asleep easy.
