distributor or single coil or multicoil?

Do our cars have a distributor or single coil or multicoil?
I have no clue – this can help to decide on a more accurate engine management system

We have 3 coils each one firing on 2 plugs

^^ as additional info, 3 coil packs which sit on the LHS of the engine (front of the car) with leads running back to plugs on the RHS bank (rear of engine bay, under the intake manifold). The coil packs are under the plastic engine cover, just pull it off for a look-see
