So its time for our next event, and i'm trialling something different for 2 reasons:
1) We need a more social event, not just driving; and
2) We have our Victorian coffee connesour coming to Adelaide for a Visit (Mookers)

The event will be based on the popular US style coffee & Cars events, held mainly in California. See here:

SO it will be on Saturday May 28 in the morning in the spirit of the event AND derek's flight leaves in the afternoon. I realise saturday isn't ideal (compared to a Sunday), BUT its the only time Derek (mookers) is free.

As un-trendy as it is, I think the spreading Cibo's do just about the best coffees consistently in Adelaide. Most of them are similar, all use good Rio beans...Haven't really had a crap one yet. Other than that Zest at Glenelg and Lucia's in the central markets are my personal faves but both awful locations to bring a big collection of cars to.

Excellent idea Lee - although there should be a catch up before then i reckon....

a couple of ideas:
-Windy point cafe (maybe a bit too laady-da for what we're after)
-Vili's cafe - not sure what the coffees like

Just trying to think of places with abundant parking

I like the idea of windy point Cafe.. but its closed saturday morning
But the idea of a cafe somewhere with decent parking is good.. as long as they do breakfast/coffee on Saturday

Mount lofty cafe? or Utopia at waterfall gully? trying to find something at the end of a bit of a drive

The cafe at Waterfall Gully is a nice place to be, don't know how good the coffee is though. Also there's the risk of the carpark being quite full on a weekend morning, from all the walkers!

Opens at 9am, and they have breakfast menu too for those so inclined. I think its a winner (as dont want to go too far out of town/drive as its meant to be a social thing and Derek has his flight that day)

So - anyone keen to check out their coffee in the next week or 2 if passing by?

hmmm. Should be ok coffee if heaps of cyclists make it up there - hopefully there wont be too many in May

mt lofty service and coffee was ordinary few times ive been there, that does work against it... also the car park is quite detached form the cafe which is also not ideal.
Hmm... i still think its a option, but not perfect by any means.

I live in summertown and I wouldn't recommend it lol cheap coffee I suspect

theres a good place just at the bottom of greenhill called taylor blend

Could maybe do a small drive up norton and then back down greenhill
