Ok I will do a reset, only code rest all clear seems ok disconnected when I did the plugs so maybe that's it. After a reset if it appears again guess I need new TPS??

Just had check engine light flash up with a strange code.
1 long flash followed by 10 short flashes.
What the hell is that all in aid of?

iv counted and counted and its still the same. 10 short, 1 long. its doing my nutt in as i know this cant be right.

I am not sure if its temp or airflow sensor 12 or 21 thats the codes I pull what should I do?? Never had engine light on before:/

right problem solved.
it turns out it was 1A, missfire in cylinder 1. so swapped over the coil packs, reset the ECU (there has to be another way then just pulling the battiree and loosing all them lovley gearbox settings...) and all is fine, i just need a new AYC pump now.

Really interesting reading some of these threads,& there is some real knowledge.My Legnum is flashing 2C & on the road the car only hesitates around 3,000rpm then runs smoothly with no probs.Really appreciate some advice guys !

I tried uploading video but it keeps saying there is a problem,
The engine light flashes twice in a second then a third time about 6 seconds after that,
The abs light is continuously flashing throughout
This is with the wire in pins 1 and 4,
Does that mean two or one,
I suppose not knowing how to read it correctly makes it confusing

i tried this but the list doesnt show accuratley how to recognise what the car is actually telling you,
is the constant abs flashing the timing counter which i should be using to time to response of engine light?
it flashes twice, then pauses for about 5 secounds then flashes once again,
there is a pause and then the process repeats.
does that mean two, one or three?

i sore in this thread sumwhere that 71 was for that grey vacuum canistor thingy so i took a look at it and it has sum hair line cracks in it! as for the other codes i got no idea please any help?

anyone know part number and where to get one of those gray canisitors! i put sum sickaflex on it and reset the ecu then went for a long drive took a bit but after about 10min the engine light and tcl light come back on! then ran test again when i got home and yep still have!
