no worries. I wonder if Mitsubishi would have these instock or if I would have to get one from japan. Otherwise a secondhand one from a wrecker would do the job.

You don't need a gasket. The sumps are just sealed with RTV or other oil resistant sealent.

thanks guys for the help. A new lower section of the sump is worth $160.60 shipped from japan via Mitsubishi parts department (2-3 weeks wait). The mtsi parts guy had no idea what a legnum even was!

Estimate on postage $50 to $70, all prices NZD



Pretty certain I only need the lower sump.

I had the same problem - 2$ packet of washers did the trick so now i replace the washer with each service
